South Coast of Cornwall, Marazion, St. Michael's Mount

Enjoy a delightful scenic trip discovering the highlights of Cornwall's romantic landscape. Travel through rugged Cornish countryside and charming towns before arriving at the ancient market town of Marazion. From here, see stunning views of the fairy-tale castle perched on St Michael's Mount, described as the jewel in Cornwall's crown. Separated from the mainland by a causeway covered by sea at high water, St Michael's Mount beats to a pace of life ruled by weather and tides. Lapped by crystal waters or lashed by winter storms, the craggy island is home to a living island community. Enjoy a short stop to take a photo of the mount from the mainland before re-boarding the coach to continue the tour.

North Cornwall, Redruth, Camborne, Countryside Drive, Poldark, Carn Brea

Depart Marazion and embark on a scenic costal drive of North Cornwall and its mining heritage. The journey continues through a countryside of lanes, hamlets, granite cottages and Methodist chapels and then back in time to the age of Poldark and tin-mining. Looming high above Camborne and Redruth on the route back to the pier is the spectacular granite tor of CarnBrea, crowned by its stark memorial to mine owner Francis Bassett.
