Excursion Strolling through húsavík: a journey of discovery tour at Húsavík

A local guide will showcase Húsavík’s highlights, starting at the iconic 1907 wooden church, Húsavíkurkirkja. The tour includes visits to the charming town gardens at Skrúðgarðurinn, the site of Iceland’s oldest house built in 870, and a panoramic view of the harbor. Stories of local history, folklore, and interesting facts are shared throughout. The tour concludes at the Whale Museum, featuring impressive whale skeletons like the Blue Whale and Narwhal, along with exhibits on whaling and marine life. Return to the ship at leisure.

Please note: A moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 3 km (1.86 mi). It is a slow-paced walking tour on mostly paved surfaces with an incline for approximately 15 meters. Warm, layered clothing appropriate to the local weather (including rainproof outerwear) and comfortable hiking shoes are recommended.
