Excursion Vip experience at the boi bumba show tour at Parintins

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Imagine yourself amidst a costumed music and dance festival as boisterous as Rio’s Carnaval – but held in a jungle arena to celebrate age-old Amazonian ranching legends. Held each year at the end of June, the Boi Bumba show is a rustic, joyous feast for the senses – alive with vivid colors and spectacular costumes, rhythmic music, capricious dance, and fascinating shamanistic folklore. And this VIP all-access excursion is the ideal way to experience it.

Up-close and behind-the-scenes

Following a brief shuttle tender to Parintins pier, you’ll be whisked by air-conditioned minivan to the Red Bull Arena and ushered into a special upper level VIP Suite in small groups. Below, at dance floor level, special VIP seats allow you to interact with the dancers before or after the raucous one-hour performance. You can also peruse a special behind-the-scenes exhibit of costumes and other storyline props in the RED Pavilion, as well as pose for Instagram-worthy photos with the performers if you wish.

The VIP area also features comfortable lounges offering excellent alternate views of the show. A grazing table offers cold cuts and finger foods along with regional Tacacá soup made from manioc, plus other snacks and fresh fruits. The private Bull Arena Bar serves up still and sparkling mineral water, coconut waters, local fruit juices, classical and regional mixed drinks, beers, Brazilian vines, and caipirinhas – all complimentary and with waiter service available.

Fully exhilarated by this VIP Boi Bumba experience, you’ll return to the ship the same way you came. Along the way, you might wish to also explore the local handicrafts on offer at souvenir stalls in front of the Red Bull Arena and also at the Pier area.
