This thrilling ATV adventure takes you to some of the most striking historical locations in the Westman Islands. Journey to Prestvik Beach, where the fishing vessel Pelagus ran aground, and witness the spot where Guðlaugur Friðþórsson famously swam 5–6 km through frigid, dark waters following the sinking of Hellisey VE 503. Proceed across rugged lava fields, into the crater of the Eldfell volcano, and along the coastline, which offers breathtaking views.

Please note: This tour includes moderate off-road driving and approximately 1m (0.6 miles) of walking over uneven surfaces such as cobblestone, gravel, natural terrain, and hills. Guests must also navigate a few steps when getting on and off the ATV. The ATVs are two-seater vehicles, and the ride can be rough and bumpy. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, those with neck or back issues, heart or respiratory conditions, motion sickness, or limited mobility. Guests should wear warm, comfortable clothing, closed-toe sturdy shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket. Waterproof gear, gloves, helmets, and a communication headset are provided. Safety helmets must be worn at all times. For safety reasons, photography and video recording are not permitted while driving. Pricing is per person, based on two guests sharing one ATV; participants must book in pairs. Drivers must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license and ID. Passengers must be at least 6 years old. Tour operation depends on weather conditions, and a signed waiver is required. The sequence of stops may vary.
