This half day tour will help unravel some of the aspects of this belief system. Drive from the ship in Lome to the fetish markets, the traditional drugstore for the locals where voodoo doctors and shamans get supply of ingredients used to prepare their potions and antidotes.

Voodoo Village, Voodoo Cerimony

Continue through the northern outskirts of the city to a village notorious for its well kept voodoo practices. On arrival, you will be welcomed by a libation by the high priest and invited to sit under trees in the village and see a ceremony including drumming, chanting, dancing and trance unfold before you.

Finally re-board your coach and drive back to the ship.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking and a few steps to get on/off the coach and at the voodoo village. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Local conditions may be challenging; therefore, we urge flexibility and understanding as we visit unique and somewhat remote destinations.
