Depart the pier in an ADA-approved vehicle for the scenic, approximately 40-minute drive to the Pueblo Libre District. Upon arrival, visit the Larco Herrera Museum. Founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926, the museum is located inside a viceregal mansion built upon a 7th-century, pre-Columbian pyramid. With over 45,000 archaeological artefacts, this important museum offers a unique opportunity to explore over 5,000 years of Peruvian history, and the highly developed cultures that flourished before the Inca Empire. Highlights include the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver artefacts in Peru, and a famous archaeological collection of erotic art.

Lima City, Main Square, Presidential Palace, Lima Cathedral

Next, re-board your coach and head to the built-up area of Lima City, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. During a photo stop at the Main Square, see the impressive Presidential Palace and Lima Cathedral, two beautiful and historic landmarks still utilised to this day. From here, walk to the renowned Santo Domingo Convent.

Santo Domingo Convent, Altars, Viceregal Sculptures, San Martín Square

The Santo Domingo Convent took 40 years to build and was completed at the end of the 16th century. Also known as the Minor Basilica and Maximum Convent of our Lady of the Rosary, the convent has several altars and viceregal sculptures, and exhibits different time periods and aesthetic expressions.
