Gaehangjang (Open Port Area) Street

Formerly used by the Japanese consulate, the Jung-gu Office, the Incheon branch of Japan's 1st, 18th and 58th Bank and other modern historical architecture can be found intact here. Other historical remains like Former Japan Mail and Shipping Inc., Incheon Art Platform and more are also available for you to see at the Incheon Gaehangjang (Open Port Area).

Jemulpo Gurakbu (The Jemulpo Customs House)

Jemulpo Club was completed in 1901. But following its construction in 1891, the Jemulpo Club was quickly surrounded by settlements of Japan, China, and Western countries. At that time, it was deemed a luxurious building because it had an outdoor tennis court, which was rare. After Korea’s liberation, it was used as the Incheon Metropolitan City Museum, but is now used as a cultural and artistic space for citizens. Explore the fascinating facilities including a library room, pool table, and tennis court, and immerse yourself in the cultural exchanges of the past.
