Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Embrace the scenic splendour of Antigua by land and sea during this full-day sightseeing excursion via coach and catamaran.

Nelson's Dockyard

Depart the pier for a short 10-minute ride to Nelson's Dockyard. Built in 1725, it served as the base for the English naval squadron patrolling the West Indies. As you enter this historic park, the world's only working Georgian dockyard, take a short, informative walking tour. Along the way, see the dockyard's beautifully restored buildings, detailed plaques and many points of interest. Afterward, some free time is made available to explore the dockyard, museum, art gallery, gift shop, and boutiques at your leisure.

Blockhouse Ruins and Shirley Heights

Next, drive to the Blockhouse Ruins at Shirley Heights. Here, view the remains of the Officer's barracks, gun platforms, cisterns and powder magazine, and take in spectacular panoramic views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A stop is made at the former signal station, Shirley Heights Lookout, which also offers commanding views of the Atlantic Ocean, Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbour.

Rainforest Drive, Catamaran Ride and Lunch

After, re-board your coach and start a 40-minutes ride through the heart of the island, Antigua's tropical countryside, everyday picturesque village life and calm, rolling hills, en route to Jolly Harbour where you will embark a sleek sailing catamaran for a picturesque ride along the exquisite Antiguan coastline. Your route sails along the southwest coast, from Jolly Harbour to St John's. Along the way, see secluded beaches, five-star hotels, exclusive homes, and stop for a swim in the blue Antigua's waters. A Caribbean-style lunch with open bar is served on board.

St. John's Harbour

Disembark in St. John's Harbour, re-board your transportation and commence the 40-minute drive south back to Falmouth Harbour. On the way take in the colourful villages, white sand beaches and rural sights.
