Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive into the Sierra de Tramuntana, a mountain range in Spain and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival at the village of Esporles, begin your guided, approximately three-hour hike along the The Old Postman´s path, a mountain trail with documented use since the 15th century. Hike from Sa Granja, located just outside Esporles, en route to the ancient, terraced village of Banyalbufar, which overlooks the sea.

Upon arrival at Banyalbufar, take a guided stroll through the centre of this lovely wine-growing community with its ancient Moorish terraces. Along the way, pass by the local church before stopping at Cellars Son Vives, a little, family-run vineyard and bodega by the sea. You will be introduced to the local flavours and winemaking traditions of Banyalbufar, which specialises in growing the Malvasia grape.

Your tastings take place just outside the little bodega at an idyllic, rustic spot featuring lovely sea views. In the event of cold or adverse weather, your tastings are held at the old manor house, which is located next to the bodega and owned by the very same family. Join your host for tastings of three Banyalbufar wines accompanied by local specialities such as salty cookies, oil, cheese, and bread with sobrassada sausage, along with a discussion about the local wine growers, vines, and wines. Following your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 50-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of hiking for approximately five miles- 5.6 miles (about eight - nine kilometres), at times over uneven, gravel, cobblestone, and natural surfaces and steep inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach.
