Lisbon scenic drive and highlights
Start your tour by meeting your tour guide accessible van at the Lisbon cruise dock. From here, you will head out on a scenic drive through the heart of Lisbon. During this part of your tour, you will see the best and most cherished highlights of the city. You will experience the vibrant Baixa area which is the commercial and historic heart of the city. The area is peppered with Portugal's unique "palombine" and neo-classical architecture, and bustling with people, pedestrianized streets and trendy shops. You will also see Lisbon's Lower Town, the unique Santa Justa Lift and of course the Rossio Square.
Miradouro de Sao Pedro, Bairro Alto Parish, Tower of Belem, Tagus River
Your first stop of the day will be at Miradouro Eduardo VII. This is a spectacular panoramic view point that will give you a breathtaking overview of Lisbon. Have your camera ready to capture views stretching all the way to the Tagus River!
Following this, you will make your way through the authentic, traditional Bairro Alto Parish. You will have an opportunity to see the beautiful 18th century Estrela Basilica, follow the famous old wooden tram No. 28, as well as Palácio de São Bento which is the home to the Portuguese Parliament.
Driving through Belem, you will see the Tagus River, the embarking point for Vasco de Gama's great discoveries, the iconic Monument of Discoveries, and the fortified Tower of Belem - Lisbon's post-card landmark.
UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jerónimos Monastery
Your tour continues to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jerónimos Monastery. Here, you will enjoy an interior visit, escorted by your tour guide who will be sharing the history of the Monastery and the fascinating architecture that resulted from Portugal's immense wealth from commerce.
As you return to the city center of Lisbon, you will enjoy a drive along the River Tagus with a view of the April 25th Bridge, Christ the King statue, Praca do Commercio and the port of Lisbon.
Afterwards, return to the ship.

The tour route avoids steps and stairs. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp will be used for transportation. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs. A minimum participation of 6 guests is required to operate the excursion at the advertised rate. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. On Mondays only, as Jeronimos Monastery is closed, an outside visit will be done and the internal visit will be replaced by a stop to the original store Pasteis de Belem, where you will get to taste Portugal's most famous pastry and coffee.
