Excursion Night time owl excursion tour at Oulu

Experience a guided northern owl-watch tour during this nighttime adventure. With some luck see some, or all, of the Oulu region's seven owl species, as well as other nocturnal animals. The area is also known for its many woodpeckers and grouse. The expert guide do his utmost to ensure sightings however wildlife is not granted.

Embark from the pier by minibus; the smaller vehicle facilitates reaching the best viewing spots and disturbs the birds as little as possible. Enjoy moderate walking through quiet forested areas. Follow your guide's precise instructions to improve your chances of seeing the notoriously difficult to find owls. Have your binoculars at the ready.

Please note: This excursion is not suitable for guests with limited mobility as it requires walking in forest on uneven terrain at night. Sturdy outdoor hiking boots or rubber boots (sneakers are insufficient), warm clothing to protect against the chill, and binoculars are recommended. Sightings of any of the species are not guaranteed because of fluctuations in owl food sources and other natural disruption.
