Day 1 | Lima, Peru - Iquitos - Pacaya Samiria National Reserve

Upon disembarkation, transfer from the port to Lima Airport for your flight to Iquitos.

Upon arrival in Iquitos, you will be welcomed by the Delfin team and transferred by private vehicle to Nauta, one of the oldest towns in Peru's Loreto region. After embarkation aboard the luxurious Delfin I, settle into your elegantly appointed suite and enjoy your first introduction to the Amazon rainforest.

As the vessel begins navigating the waters of the Marañón River, join your expert naturalist guide for an overview of the region's remarkable ecosystems, wildlife and history.

Later this afternoon, board a skiff to explore the flooded forest. During the high-water season, waterways penetrate deep into the jungle, providing exceptional opportunities to observe wildlife from a unique perspective. Look for monkeys moving through the treetops and colorful birds perched amongst the dense vegetation.

As evening falls, continue your exploration in search of nocturnal wildlife, including caimans, owls and other fascinating creatures that emerge after dark.

Day 2 | Pacaya Samiria National Reserve

Awaken to the sounds of the rainforest and begin your day exploring Las Palmas, where the Amazon comes alive with abundant wildlife. Keep watch for sloths resting in the canopy and a variety of tropical bird species.

Later, visit the Amazon Natural Park, where you will learn about the medicinal plants that have been used by local communities for generations. During your visit, participate in a traditional cultural experience and gain insight into the spiritual traditions that remain an important part of Amazonian life.

This afternoon, explore the tranquil waters of the Yanayacu River. Depending on conditions, opportunities may include kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming and piranha fishing. The calm waterways also offer excellent chances to spot the renowned pink river dolphins that inhabit the reserve.

Following dinner, embark on a nighttime safari along the Pucate River, where expert guides will help you search for nocturnal wildlife hidden within the rainforest.

Day 3 | Pacaya Samiria National Reserve

This morning, venture into the rainforest along the Fundo Casual Trail, where towering trees, vibrant vegetation and remarkable biodiversity provide an immersive Amazon experience.

During your exploration, meet members of a local community whose lives remain closely connected to the rainforest. Learn about their traditions, daily activities and enduring relationship with this extraordinary environment.

This afternoon, continue to one of the most significant natural landmarks in South America, the Unión de los Ríos, where the Marañón and Ucayali Rivers merge to create the mighty Amazon River.

Surrounded by pristine wilderness, this impressive confluence offers spectacular scenery and a deeper appreciation for the scale and power of the Amazon Basin.

Day 4 | Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - Iquitos - Lima

After breakfast, disembark in Nauta and begin the return journey to Iquitos.

En route, enjoy an interactive presentation highlighting the importance of stingless melipona bees within the Amazon ecosystem. Continue to the Amazon Research Center for Ornamental Fishes, where you will discover a remarkable variety of Amazonian aquatic species, including giant arapaima and colorful freshwater stingrays.

Following your visit, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.

Upon arrival in Lima, visit the renowned Larco Museum, home to one of Peru's most important collections of pre-Columbian art. The museum houses more than 45,000 artifacts, including ceramics, textiles and precious gold and silver objects that provide a fascinating insight into Peru's ancient civilizations.

Dinner will be served in the museum's acclaimed garden restaurant before transferring to your hotel.

Day 5 | Lima, Peru - Santiago de Chile - Valparaiso

After breakfast, check in for your flight to Santiago de Chile.

Upon arrival, transfer directly to Valparaíso to rejoin Silver Shadow and continue your World Cruise voyage.
