Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the Barilla Oyster Farm, a world-class oyster production facility. These delicious morsels owe their delicate taste and texture to the cold, clean southern ocean waters in which they are cultivated. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the facility. Along the way, your guides explain the history of Barilla Bay's pristine waters and the importance of tides, show you how oysters are grown from a tiny spat to full maturity, and teach you the secret to shucking an oyster. Local Winery, Tour and Tastings, Hobart City Tour
Leaving the oyster farm, re-board your coach and continue on to a renowned local winery, Puddleduck Vineyard. Upon arrival, proceed for a tasting of some of the best wine the region has to offer whilst enjoying the splendid scenery. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier, with a brief orientation tour of Hobart City en route.
