Naples City Tour

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Naples City. En route, see the 13th-century Castle Nuovo, a grim and gloomy fortress that served as the residence of the kings of Anjou, Aragon and the Spanish Viceroys. From here, drive past Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza della Borsa, home to the elaborate Stock Exchange Building and Galleria Umberto I, which is lined with beautiful lamps and 19th-century buildings containing some of the most elegant shops and cafes in Naples.

Piazza Plebiscito and Posillipo Hill

Next, leave the coach at the nearest drop-off point and walk to Piazza Plebiscito, the most monumental and harmonious square in the city. Here, view the vast 17th-century Royal Palace, San Carlo Opera House and Church of St. Francis, and learn about the abundant monuments in this lovely square. Following your short stroll, re-board your coach and proceed for a photo stop at Posillipo Hill, which offers wonderful vistas of your surrounds.

Neopolitan Chalet, Mergellina and the Castle of the Egg

Your tour continues with a refreshment stop at a local Neopolitan chalet. Afterward, commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier. En route, pass by Mergellina and the world-renowned Castle of the Egg in Santa Lucia.
