Sambi Sari Temple
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to central Java for a visit to the Sambi Sari Temple, with a refreshment and comfort stop en route. Upon arrival, proceed for a guided walking tour of this 9th-century Hindu temple. According to the history, the temple was buried approximately 5.5 yards (about five meters) underground. During your visit, see the parts of the original temple that have been excavated from beneath the volcanic ash.
Lunch, Prambanan Temple and Banaran Cafe
Next, proceed for lunch at the Rama Shinta Garden resto. After lunch, re-board your coach and head to the renowned Prambanan Temple. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest Hindu Temple site in Indonesia, and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. Its tall, pointed design is typical of Hindu architecture, and is highlighted by a towering, approximately 154-foot-high (about 47-metre-high) central building inside a large complex of individual temples. Following your visit, re-board your coach and head for a refreshment and comfort stop in the Banaran Cafe, then commence the approximately 55-minute drive back to the pier.

Note
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 623 yards (about 570 metres), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach, 10 steps at the restaurant, 20 steps at the Sambi Sari Temple and 25 stairs at the Prambanan Temple. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, non-slip walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least six years old to participate on this tour. Infrastructure in Semarang is basic, and local conditions may be challenging: coaches, guides, hotels, restaurants, equipment, and services are the best-available in the area, but may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions. Local Guides tend to have strong accent, therefore we urge flexibility as we visit unique and somewhat remote destinations.
The cost of providing a tour program in Semarang is proportionately more expensive than in neighbouring nations. Unfortunately this is reflected in the prices of the tours and we thank you for your understanding. The right to go up to the monument is reserved for large group over 100 guests only and will not be possible if visiting with a smaller group.
