Explore the awe-inspiring Whitsunday Islands in a unique new way during this scenic and invigorating, half-day sea-kayaking excursion.


Shute Harbour, Guided Kayaking Adventure, Coral Reefs, Tropical Islands

Depart the pier for the short drive to Shute Harbour. Upon arrival, receive your safety and kayaking instructions and gear, then embark your two-seat kayak and begin your approximately two-hour, 3.7-mile (about six-kilometre) guided kayaking tour. This fun-filled and invigorating tour is a great family option, and suitable for first-time and advanced kayakers. Led by your guide, paddle over fringing coral reefs and explore nearby tropical islands.


White Rock Island, Swimming, Marine Life

Next, a stop is made for guided swimming in the crystal-clear waters of White Rock Island. Afterward, you can explore the island, or relax on the beach and enjoy a cold drink with a tropical snack. Following your visit, embark your kayak and paddle back to Shute Harbour. Throughout your journey, you may see sea turtles, soaring eagles, and other wildlife, bird species, tropical fish and marine life common to this region. Upon arrival at Shute Harbour, disembark your kayak, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of activity and a moderate amount of walking, at times over uneven, sandy and slippery surfaces, inclines and declines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the kayak. Walking at White Rock Island is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is recommended for active guests who are in good physical condition, and can swim well in water over their head. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory problems, guests prone to seasickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with sandals or deck shoes you won't mind getting wet, and bring sun protection, a towel, sweater or light jacket, and change of clothing from the ship. There are changing facilities at Shute Harbour. Guests must be at least 7 years old to participate on this tour. Guests more than 70 years old cannot participate on this tour. Guests taller than 6'3" (about 1.9 metres) cannot participate on this tour. This kayaking tour operates in two-seat kayaks. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, wildlife, fish and marine life sightings are not guaranteed. Life vests, helmets, kayaks, paddles, and stinger suits are provided. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
