Upon disembarking the ship, a short transfer brings you to the pristine shores of São Pedro Beach. After a warm welcome and equipment briefing, you’ll prepare for your marine adventure alongside local guides. Board your local boat and set off into the clear waters, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to swim with gentle sea turtles in their natural habitat. As you glide through the sea, take in the beauty of the underwater world and enjoy unforgettable moments of connection with nature.

Local Refreshments

After your swim, head to a nearby beachside local bar-restaurant. Here, you’ll be treated to refreshments made with local ingredients, including traditional Cape Verdean flavors that offer a delicious taste of the island’s culinary heritage.

Your experience concludes with a short transfer back to the pier, bringing your aquatic adventure to a close.

This tour involves a moderate amount of walking—approximately 500 metres (547 yards)—over uneven and sandy terrain, with a few steps required to embark and disembark the coach. Guests will board a boat directly from the beach, which requires a degree of agility. Once at sea, guests may choose to observe turtles from the boat or dive into the water for a swim alongside them. Please note that reboarding the boat after swimming demands considerable physical effort. This experience is not recommended for guests with limited mobility, those who use a wheelchair, or individuals who do not swim. Guests are kindly advised to wear swimwear or beach attire, along with lightweight, comfortable clothing. Beach shoes or flip-flops are recommended. Please bring sun protection and a towel should you wish to swim with the turtles. Staying hydrated throughout the day is essential, and we encourage guests to bring water with them. Guests must be at least 6 years of age to participate; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. Alcoholic beverages will only be served to guests aged 18 and above. The operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions, and the sequence of activities may vary. Guests wishing to make purchases ashore are encouraged to bring Euros or a credit card. Infrastructure in Cape Verde is relatively basic; however, Silversea ensures the use of the best available resources to provide a comfortable and enriching experience.
