Next, re-board your coach and continue on to the small hamlet of Matharpacady, which is located in the middle of the city and dates back approximately 200 years. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour. Along the way, pass by houses that reflect the rich Portuguese heritage of this outlying, yet elite suburb on one of Bombay's oldest islands. Leaving Matharpacady, proceed for lunch at Trishna, a Mumbai institution and local seafood restaurant serving up the fresh catch-of-the-day. Whilst driving and strolling through this precinct, learn about the contribution of the British to the development of the city and its rich architectural heritage of Gothic, Victorian, Art Deco, Indo-Saracenic and contemporary-style buildings.
