Excursion Tapas tasting in palma tour at Palma de Mallorca

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Experience the exquisite flavours of Spain on-foot during this fun-filled, half-day, tapas tasting excursion through Palma.

Palma City, Bellver Castle, Introduction to Tapas

Depart the pier for a brief orientation drive through Palma City, and an exterior photo stop at the 14th-century Bellver Castle for a spectacular panoramic view of the city. Afterward, re-board your coach and proceed for visits to three different bars for tastings of tapas, the typical way to eat in Spain. Tapas are mini-snacks, often displayed on the counter in bars, and include local specialities such as calamares (squid), callos (tripe), gambas (prawns), albondigas (meatballs), and boquerones (anchovies) marinated in vinegar. Tapas can be taken as a meal in themselves, or as a tasty bite before going on to a restaurant for dinner.

Tapas with drinks in 3 different Bars

Each region of Spain has its own specialities, and each different bar visited features different ambiances and foods to provide you with a well-rounded introduction to Spanish cuisine. You will visit three local Tapas bars and different specialties: Spanish mushrooms omelette & Patatas Bravas, Two chicken croquetes and two fried squids rings, Local Ham, Sausages and cheese. At each stop, a drink will be served to accompany your tapas.

Following your tapas tasting tour, some free time is made available for independent shopping and exploration. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach for the short drive back to the pier.
