Fort Napoleon

Depart the pier for the short drive towards Fort Napoleon, which dominates the Bay of Les Saintes. The fort was originally built for defense against the British invasion but was never used for that purpose and it served as a penitentiary. Discover its lovely Princess Caroline garden, which showcases beautiful and striking flowers of the tropics and the panoramic views.

Then explore the village with the multicolored houses, the fishing port, the cemetery composed by graves surrounded by shells, the iguanas and more.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.5 Km (0.9 mile) including some inclined surfaces and about 30 steps to negotiate at the sites and few steps to get on/off the van. Guests wearing a swimsuit will not be allowed into Fort Napoleon. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to bring sun protection and hat.
