Excursion The langkawi highlights tour at Langkawi

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Discover Langkawi's scenic attractions and get acquainted with the island's cultural and artistic heritage.

Eagle Square

You will begin your day with a stop at Eagle Square, built as an emblem of the island and is one of Langkawi's best known manmade attractions. There is a large sculpture of an eagle poised to take flight and the 12-metre-tall statue is one of the island's most instantly recognizable monuments. Besides offering beautiful views of Kuah Bay, it has beautiful miniature fountains, terraces and bridges, making it the ideal place for those postcard-perfect holiday photos.

Cable Car Ride

The next main highlight of this tour will be at the Langkawi Cable Car, it takes you on a ride up the mountainside on a 42-degree incline and vertiginous 15-minute ride to the top of mount Mat Cincang, offering breath-taking views of Langkawi's rainforests, islets, and waterfalls. Explore the summit of 700-metre Mount Mat Cincang and marvel at the spectacular views of the Andaman Sea and numerous islands that make up the Langkawi archipelago. The Langkawi Sky Bridge is located at the 'end' of the Cable Car ride. One of the island's highlights, it is a 410ft-long curved pedestrian bridge. The wide bridge has two triangular platforms that act as 'stops' where you can admire the view and rest your feet.

Rice Garden Museum

Rice is the bread of Asia, and a staple dish at every meal. The Rice Garden Museum is dedicated to the humble grain and its cultivation. It has a collection of artefacts, photos, charts and tools on the history of rice cultivation in Langkawi. It is divided into the Heritage Gallery, Paddy Gallery, Herb Garden and Garden of Variety.

At the end of your visit, you will return back to the pier.
