Excursion Ancient taroudant tour at Agadir

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Depart the pier for an approximate 90-minute drive to Taroudant stopping enroute for a photo stop of the argan trees. Once you arrive, start your visit with the ramparts dating back to the Saadian dynasty then proceed to visit the beauty of this iconic city of Taroudant, located in the plain of Souss surrounded by two chains of Mountains. A city that tells a story of the state of the Saadian through the domination of the Tazeroualt kingdom, to end with the reign of the Alawites, almost 1 hour and a half to live in the heart of history.

Capturing the essence of life centuries ago in Taroudant requires virtually no imagination, for not much has changed here in a very long time. Under the Almoravid, Saadian and Almohades dynasties, Taroudant developed into an agricultural center far from the crowded cities-its hinterland supports cotton, rice and sugar cane. The distinctive essence of this serene town is best discovered at its wonderful souks (markets) located in the Old Town medina area-among the most colorful in Morocco. Before heading back to Agadir, stop at a local restaurant for a refreshment.

Your tour concludes with an approximate 90-minute drive back to Agadir, where you will have the chance to visit an argan oil cooperative before proceeding to the pier.
