Experience Rakiura Stewart Island like never before! Enjoy a diverse range of vistas on this spectacular, guided scenic flight over Rakiura Stewart Island. Look down over the Great Walk of the Rakiura Track, Mt Anglem the highest peak on the island, untouched golden beaches and secluded island coves before touching down on one of the remote northern beaches and enjoying your first landing.

Taking off again this flight enjoys views of Whenua Hoe or Cod Fish Island, home to Sirocco, an internationally famous kakapo and his 70 plus friends, kakapo are rare species of parrot and Whenua Hoe is a protected breeding area. From above marvel at the size of the Ruggedy Range mountains as they stretch across the island, covered in pristine forests, ancient wetlands and massive sand dunes. Set down for our second landing at Mason’s Bay, dip your toes in 14kms of golden sand and search for kiwi footprints. Back in your helicopter soar above the heart of Rakiura National Park, Big Glory Bay home to one of world’s most southern aquaculture farms, and Ulva Island before touching down back at our base in Fern Gully.

Please note: This tour requires a minimal amount of walking for approx. 300 meters (0.2 miles), howerver it requires guests to be able to embark and disembark on shuttle and helicopter without assistance. We recommend wearing flat, closed toe shoes and weatehr appropiate clothing. Please note that the weight restriction on this tour is 130kg/ 286 pouns per person.Space is very limited; we suggest you reserve this tour in advance to avoid disappointment.
