Beehive Expereince & Light Lunch

Join the professional beekeeper in the field and get to experience how to extract honey from the hives.

Meet the Bee Keeper at reception from there get suited up in your BEE Safety gear with boots and head cover. Afterwards make your way to the bee hives – in their natural habitat – which are situated in the Nature Reserve. Servicing the bee hives directly in the fields, harvest honey and learn more about bees. Top off your unqique experience with a light lunch before making your way back to the ship.

Please note: Bee Safety Suits up to the sizes of Male 36 (XXL) & Female 36 (XXL) are available. This tour involves a moderate/extensive amount of off-road driving and quite some walking, at times over uneven, bumpy, gravel, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the 4X4 vehicles. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, a light, weatherproof jacket, and a camera from the ship. Guests must be at least 6 years old to participate on this tour. Guests are not permitted to speak loudly as this disturbs the animals, nor stand up on the game drive vehicles. Smoking is not permitted during the game drives. No food may be taken into the reserve on the open vehicles. Guests must carry their passports. Due to the prevailing weather conditions and movement of dangerous wildlife on the Game Reserve, the programme contents and sequence are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice. You will have to wear a bee safety gear to partake in this experience (Male and female xxl is the biggest size available). Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
