Depart the pier for the short walk to your awaiting private schooner, the Bagheera, a legendary, 55-foot-long (about 16-metre-long) tall ship. First launched in 1924, the Bagheera is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Upon arrival, meet your captain, embark your vessel, and receive your safety and tour instructions. Afterward, begin your leisurely, approximately two-hour private sail around Portland’s Casco Bay.

Along the way, sit back, relax, and enjoy a wealth of splendid views overlooking the bay and coast. Listen to the barking of the harbour seals. Your picturesque cruise concludes back at the pier. Upon arrival, disembark the schooner and commence the short walk back to the pier, or remain in town for shopping and independent exploration, and return to the ship on your own.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces,, six steep steps below-deck to access the head, and five steps to embark/disembark the schooner via a gangway that varies with the tides; the dock does not have hand-railings. Walking in Portland is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to seasickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe walking or boat shoes, and bring sun protection, a weatherproof jacket, raingear, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. The actual schooner utilised may vary based on the day and time of your cruise.
