Local Wet Market

Depart the pier for the short drive to a local 'wet' market, where local residents shop twice-a-day for fresh ingredients for lunch and dinner. During your visit, view a wide array of fresh produce, fruit, fish in tanks, and meat hanging from hooks.


Private Kitchen Visit

Leaving the food market, take a short ride to a private kitchen. Chinese cuisine is varied and exciting, with each region boasting distinctive flavours and styles of cooking. From fiery Szechuan favourites to Cantonese comfort dishes, learn to prepare an authentic Chinese appetizer, main course and dessert of your choosing from scratch.


Chinese Cooking Lesson and Tasting

Your chef instructor guides you through diverse Chinese recipes, cooking methods and ingredients. Learn about and participate in the creation of aromatic soups, filling and folding, dumplings, stir-fries, and signature Chinese sauces. Following your interactive cooking lesson, sample the dishes you've helped to prepare. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 273 yards (about 250 metres), at times over wet surfaces, with two-four high steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and steps at the sites visited.
