Excursion Discover the green lagoon tour at Rangiroa

After an approximately 20 minute transfer by van, reach the pier where you will board a boat for the short ride to the renowned Green Lagoon, where warm welcomes await you from your hosts. This is your opportunity to explore the motu at your own pace—stroll along the pristine beach, take a refreshing dip in the calm interior lagoon, snorkel and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Participate in a traditional copra demonstration to learn about local coconut processing, and as a token of appreciation, receive a small handmade gift crafted by local artisans.

The Green Lagoon is a secluded natural cove, protected from the wind, where the waters shimmer in vivid emerald green. It’s the perfect spot to relax, beachcomb, and soak in the serene beauty of Rangiroa for a couple of memorable hours.

Please note: This tour is recommended only to guests who are physically fit and able to swim. Although only a minimal amount of walking is required, guests must be able to manoeuvre in and out of the boat. Snorkeling takes place directly from the lagoon and may be deep water. Snorkel equipment (mask and snorkel only) are not provided. Swimsuits should be worn under beach-type clothing, as no changing facilities are available. Please remember to bring your sunscreen, hat, towel and bottled water from the ship. Waterproof cameras are highly recommended. The 12-passenger motorboat is covered. Local residents provide some commentary. Their spoken English may be limited and with an accent; they are not certified guides but the best available.
