St Andrews is famed the world over as the golf capital and the game has been played here on the famous Old Course since the 15th century.  There is, however, much more to the town than just golf.  St Andrews Cathedral (now stunning ruins) was one of Scotland’s largest Cathedrals and the castle dates from 1200.  The city is also home to the country’s oldest university (its most famous recent student was Prince William who studied History of Art).  Lovely architecture and a friendly atmosphere make St Andrews a special place to visit, packed with history, academia and, of course, golf!

Journey over the Forth through the rolling coutryside and farmland of the Kingdom of Fife to St Andrews.

Walk on the course and see the famous Swilken Bridge while your Old Course guide enlightens you of the history of St Andrews and why it became the Home of Golf. The most famous golfers from all across the globe yearn for a round on these famous links. With an appetite suitably worked up, a traditional lunch of locally sourced fish and chips awaits in a pub on the 18th Green.

Explore the town at your leisure, every nook and cranny exudes it’s sustained history as a seat of learning and the streets are lined with shops, cafes and museums.
