Discovery Centre
Depart the pier for a short drive to the Discovery Centre and receive a brief overview of your hike. Afterwards, begin your scenic hike that features some of the best viewpoints in the park.
2.5-Hour Hike, Lookout Hills & Panoramic Views
The trailhead starts at the Discovery Centre and rises steeply up the forested hillside to the wet meadow and barrens of the plateau. Continue along a boardwalk which leads you pass the tree line to the summit of Partridgeberry Hill and the best panoramic view in the park covering Bonne Bay, Gros Morne, the Long Range mountains, the Lookout Hills Plateau and the Tablelands.
At the conclusion of the tour, re-board the school bus for a short drive back to the pier.

Please note: Guests must be extremely fit to partake in this active 2-hour hike, which is strenuous and not suitable for casual walkers or guests with limited mobility. The trail is approximately 3 miles long with over 50 steps to negotiate. This is not a walk; rather it is a challenging hike. Guests must wear hiking boots or proper walking shoes and may not be able to join the excursion if their footwear is not appropriate. We recommend guests wear weather appropriate clothing including layers and bring bottle of water from the ship. The small gift shop at the Discovery Centre accepts cash in CAD & USD and credit cards. The tour operates on a Yellow School Bus.
