LOCAL CURRENCY

The local currency is the Moroccan Diram; however, Euros and US Dollars are well-accepted by most vendors; local ATMs are available in some locations visited, and credit cards are accepted in most larger shops and hotels.

Day One – Sunday, 28 December 2025 Casablanca – Marrakech                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Depart Casablanca for a scenic drive to Marrakech. En route, enjoy a comfort stop before arriving in the heart of the Red City. Upon arrival, pause to admire the Koutoubia Mosque from the outside, whose 12th-century minaret stands as a masterpiece of Islamic architecture in North Africa.

Lunch and Hotel Check-in                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Continue to your hotel for a relaxing three-course lunch, followed by check-in and some free time to refresh before the afternoon activities.

Djemaa El Fna Square and Souks

In the afternoon, visit Djemaa El Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The square features storytellers, musicians, acrobats, and local performers. Explore the nearby souks, where you can see local textiles, spices, and crafts.

Dinner at Palais Yacout

As evening falls, enjoy a four-course dinner at Palais Yacout, where authentic Moroccan flavors are paired with local music and ambiance. After dinner, return to your hotel for the overnight stay.

Day Two – Monday, 29 December 2025 Marrakech to Casablanca

Start the day with a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, before discovering the culinary secrets of Marrakech.

La Maison Arabe Cooking Workshop

Spend the day discovering Morocco’s culinary heritage with a hands-on cooking workshop at La Maison Arabe. Begin with a traditional Moroccan tea ceremony and an introduction to the country’s signature spices before joining a bread-making session. Under the guidance of a Dada, a traditional Moroccan cook ,learn to prepare authentic dishes using time-honored techniques. The experience concludes with a tasting lunch of the recipes prepared during the class.

Souks and Local Exploration

Take a final walk through Marrakech’s souks, where merchants sell crafts, spices, and textiles. Depart Marrakech for the drive back to Casablanca, with a comfort stop along the way. Arrive at the port in the late afternoon to rejoin your ship.

Please note: This program involves approximately 4.5 km of walking over uneven cobblestone streets and historic pathways within the Medina. Guests should be prepared for extended periods of standing and walking on cobblestones. The tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those using wheelchairs or mobility aids. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is essential, and we recommend dressing appropriately for outdoor conditions. Please note that many sites, including places of worship and religious monuments, require modest attire. Shoulders and knees must be covered, as entry may otherwise be denied. The total walking distance and terrain may vary depending on the specific route followed within the Medina.Participation is limited, and early booking is highly recommended. A minimum number of participants is required for operation. As much of this experience takes place outdoors, weather conditions may affect the program. Guests are advised to bring sun protection, drinking water, and clothing suitable for the season.

On Day Two, guests who prefer not to visit one of the monuments may choose an alternative activity: a Moroccan cooking workshop at La Maison Arabe, concluding with a tasting lunch at the end of the session.
