Mykonos Town Centre, Mosaic Workshop

Depart the pier for the short transfer to Mykonos, take a short guided stroll to the town centre, and a visit to the Mosaic Workshop. One of the more famous traditional art forms of the area is mosaic-making, the art of making images using small pieces of coloured glass, stones or tiles.

'Kipos' Open-Air Garden, Interactive Mosaic-Making Lesson with Irene Syrianou

Upon arrival, meet Irene Syrianou, who teaches you the ancient-and-modern art of mosaic-making in a lovely, open-air garden, or 'kipos'. For the past 14 years, Irene Syrianou has been giving lessons and sharing the secrets of ancient and contemporary mosaic-making. During her interactive mosaic workshop, create your own unique work of art, which you can bring home as a souvenir.

Optional Shopping and Exploring in Mykonos Town

At the conclusion of your workshop, walk back to the parking area, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier, or choose to remain in Mykonos Town for shopping and further exploration, and return to the pier by shuttle service at your own convenience.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.24 miles (about two kilometres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water and local currency for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least six years old to participate on this tour. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note that the temperatures can get quite high during the summer months; we remind guests to keep hydrated and wear head covering as well as sun protection during the day.During winter months the interactive workshop is held inside the workshop while during summer months it is held in the Kipos open garden.
