Excursion North sound national park kayak & snorkel tour at Falmouth

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Paddle your way through mangroves, glide over tranquil lagoons and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Discover one of Antigua's secret beauty spots where you will see local sea life and birds in their natural, unspoiled environment, during this half-day eco-tour.

Board the mini-van at the pier and depart for a 35-minute scenic drive along the north coast towards the North Sound National Park, where your adventure begins.

Mangrove Kayaking

Head out by motorboat and reach the kayaks moored in a quiet lagoon. After a short safety briefing and demonstration on technique, board your two-seater 'sit -on-top' ocean kayak, take off to tiny uninhabited islands and inlets and learn about the delicate mangrove Eco system. You will have the opportunity to be close to nature and experience a completely different side of the Caribbean.

Bird Island Snorkeling and Exploration

After kayaking, re-board the motor boat and head towards uninhabited Bird Island. Discover the blowholes and wonderful panoramic views of the Atlantic and snorkel over coral reefs, where you will marvel over the variety of tropical fish, sponges and sea fans. Enjoy a rum or fruit punch before making the return journey to the base and boarding the minivan for the approximately 30-minute drive back to the ship.
