Depart the pier for the short drive to the Papillote Wilderness Retreat. En route, drive along the picturesque Roseau Valley and enjoy a breath-taking vista of Dominica’s most popular waterfall, the magnificent Trafalgar Falls. Nestled within the lush rainforest, this iconic site features twin waterfalls cascading side-by-side out of the deep gorges they have carved out from towering peaks.

The Papillote Wilderness Retreat is a small, secluded hotel at the head of the beautiful Roseau River Valley. This idyllic, four-acre (1.6-hectare) property offers breath-taking panoramic views and photo opportunities overlooking tropical gardens, mountains, waterfalls, and pristine rainforest wilderness. Upon arrival, proceed for a delicious, set-menu lunch consisting of Caribbean- and Creole-infused local specialities.  

Free Time, Sulphur Pool, Tropical Garden Stroll

After lunch, some free time is made available at your leisure. Whilst at the retreat, you can enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating soak in the sulphur pool, which is reserved for exclusive use by Silversea guests during your visit. Alternatively, you may opt to take a short stroll through the exquisite tropical garden nestled within the grounds of the retreat. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, at times over uneven, sandy, slippery, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair.
