Monika Provic

Your journey into the winemaking traditions and flavours of this beautiful region of Dalmatian is guided by Monika Provic manage of the Provic Winery Manager. If at the winery on the day of your experience, either Krolo or Kasterl Sikuli Winery will be joining Monika in sharing information about their family and winery.

Krolo Winery, visit and wine tasting

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to the Krolo Winery. Wine is a product of human civilization reach, but also a mirror of love, care and knowledge of every passionate winemaker. One of them is Dražen Krolo, founder and owner of the eponymous winery located in the rugged hinterland of the Cetina region. The story of this family winery takes us through the dilapidated road through Trilj and Strmedolac until the hamlet of Krolo where you will find the house and vineyard of Drazan and Karolina.

This couple decided to return to the land of their ancestors, while today, decades later, that area with a harsh continental climate is home to full-bodied wines of recognized elegance and unique freshness. Viticulture is a tradition in the Krolo family that is over 300 years old, but Dražen Krolo is the only descendant who, with deep respect for heritage, dedicated his private and business life to wine, passing on the passion to the rest of the family.

Kastel Sikuli Experience

The journey of exploring the wine heritage and food delicacies of Split region continues with a scenic drive to Kastel Sikuli, a family boutique winery that has been on the market since 2019. Although Kastel Sikuli is a new project, the Kovacevic family is experienced in wine production. The inspiration for the name was the ancient settlement of Sikuli, which was founded in the second century BC by the Greeks from the island of Issa. Sikuli was known for the production and sale of wine, as evidenced by the rich collection of amphorae and mega glasses found at the site. The archaeological site Sikuli is located in the immediate vicinity of the winery and indicates a long tradition of wine production in this area.

Welcome to the Sikuli Experience, where you can indulge in a delightful lunch accompanied by a wine tasting journey.
