Temple of Confucius

Leaving the port, begin your tour with a scenic drive through the bustling streets of Kaohsiung, heading toward the northern outskirts. Your first stop is the Temple of Confucius, an impressive landmark built between 1976 and 1986, featuring traditional Chinese architecture with majestic courtyards, detailed carvings, and a central Confucius statue - a serene sanctuary that embodies education, morality, and cultural harmony.

Fongyi Academy

After the visit, return to the coach for a drive to Fongyi Academy. Established in 1814 during the Qing Dynasty, Fongyi Academy was originally founded to promote Confucian teachings and provide education to local scholars. The academy’s traditional Chinese architecture, including a grand main hall and serene courtyards, provides a glimpse into Taiwan's cultural heritage. Today, it continues to serve as a hub for cultural and educational activities, hosting exhibitions and events that celebrate Confucianism and Taiwanese history.

Great Harbor Bridge

The tour concludes with a visit to Great Harbor Bridge, where you can peacefully explore the harbor. The Great Harbor Bridge in Kaohsiung, opened in 2016, is Taiwan's first asymmetric cable-stayed bridge. This iconic landmark features a unique single-pylon design.  With its rotating mechanism to allow ships to pass, it serves as both a pedestrian bridge and a popular tourist attraction offering beautiful harbor views.
