As you make your way from the port, admire the stunning Scottish scenery along the way before your visit to the magnificent Scone Palace.
You will be greeted by a knowledgable palace guide and you will hear about the Palace’s central role throughout the history of Scotland and was formerly the crowning place of Scottish kings, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce. The palace’s 125 sumptuous rooms house a fabulous collection of French furniture, clocks, 16th century needlework (including bed hangings worked by Mary Queen of Scots), ivories, objets d’art and one of the finest collections of porcelain in the country. It is a treasure trove of Scottish history.
Enjoy a light lunch before exploring the extensive grounds with its unique gardens and the famous Douglas fir trees which were introduced into the estate by the Scotish botanist David Douglas in the 19th century. Meet the resident peacocks which have made Scone Palace their home.
You will have free time to visit the Palace gift shop and use the restrooms before returning to the pier.
