Explore the captivating military history of Vis Island through this engaging half-day tour. Starting from Komiža, take a picturesque drive to the island’s concealed submarine tunnels, which served as covert naval shelters during the Yugoslav period. Stroll through these evocative locations before proceeding to Fort George for panoramic views of the Adriatic.
Journey across the island to the remnants of a former military airfield and then to the Stupišce base, where underground passages and deserted buildings unveil Vis Island’s strategic history. A visit to a local konoba provides an opportunity to unwind with traditional refreshments before heading back to Komiža.

Please note: Off-road driving over bumpy and uneven natural surfaces and inclines, with a moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 1km (0.62 miles). At times over uneven, gravel surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the jeep and 30x steps to navigate at the military tunnels. The jeep ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy, jerking motions. Participants should be in good physical condition and comfortable with occasionally uneven terrain and short walking sections outdoors. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck/back problems, or guests with limited mobility. Comfortable walking shoes, lightweight clothing, and sun protection are recommended.
