Depart the pier for the short, scenic drive via open-air Mercedes Unimog to Morne Trois Pitons National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site in Dominica. This approximately 950-acre (about 384-hectare) tract of pristine, tropical rainforest was donated to the Government of Dominica through The Nature Conservancy. Upon arrival, take an incredibly scenic ride into the lush, verdant rainforest to view bubbling fumaroles, remnants of volcanic activity on the island.

Next, proceed to the beautiful, mountain-top community of Laudat, the starting-point of your swimming adventure at the Titou Gorge. Located between the mountains, this enchanting swimming hole served as one of the settings where the Pirates of the Caribbean movie was filmed. The Titou Gorge is renowned for its emerald-green waters, which flow calmly down the mountain creeks. A guided walk brings you to the entry-point for your swim up the canyon of the Titou Gorge, where the rock towers above its river connect with the blue sky and green canopy, and the golden rays of the sun pierces through from above.

Your swimming path up the canyon is surrounded by natural caves of molten volcanic lava, and leads to a calm, emerald oasis serenaded by chirping birds and rustling trees. A small, underground waterfall awaits the more adventurous swimmer, and rock crevices make the ideal jumping boards. The Titou Gorge is a truly beautiful sight to behold and ideally-suited for your swimming adventure in the mountains of Dominica. Afterward, get back to your 4x4 Mercedes Unimog, where a refreshing rum punch and coconut treat are served. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of off-road driving at times over uneven, rocky, slippery, and natural surfaces and steep inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the open-air Mercedes Unimog off-road vehicle. The ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy, jerking motions. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with a fear of heights, guests with claustrophobia, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable sportswear with flat, sturdy, non-slip, and closed-toe hiking shoes, and bring biodegradable sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, swimwear, a towel, change of clothing, bottled water, and US Dollars, local currency for purchases. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests weighing over 200 pounds (about 90 kilograms) cannot participate on this tour. Waterproof cameras are highly-recommended. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour.
