Experience this debarkation tour that will take you to the hilly area between the towns of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, 60 kilometres North of Venice, to the traditional home of Prosecco. Here a centuries-old vine growing and wine making culture has shaped the landscape and affected the lifestyle of inhabitants.

From the pier, travel approximately 90 minutes by air-conditioned motor coach to reach Villa Sandi estate in Crocetta del Montello.

Giancarlo Moretti Polegato currently manages the company and carries on the family tradition, combining innovation and research with respect and love for tradition and territory.

Discover the three centuries-old underground cellars that stretch for over 1,5 km under the property and create the perfect environment for wine aging thanks to their natural characteristic of keeping humidity and temperature at a constant level.

Here ''Opere Trevigiane'', a Classical Method Sparkling wine, is stored to refine while the two-barrel rooms host the casks in which Villa Sandi Premium wines are aged.

Villa Sandi, Prosecco Tasting

Your journey through the wine will end in Villa Sandi, a splendid Palladian-style villa dating back to 1622 and part of the estate itself.

The entrance is an elegant alley sided by statues of the popular Venetian sculptor Orazio Marinali. A massive pronaos, sustained by four Ionian columns, adorn the main part of the building, on each side of which two elegant Barchesse and a small chapel stand.

The precious rooms, outlined by the delicate combination of pastel colours, stuccoes and bass-relieves, and dominated by splendid Murano glass chandeliers hosted in the past important figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte, the sculptor Antonio Canova and the painter Schiavoni.

During the visit you will have the chance to taste and compare and contrast the many faces of Prosecco. Two wines will be tasted before a stop at the wine shop.

Lunch at Locanda Sandi (or Similar)

After visiting the winery, the discovery of territory and its products, you will continue to the Locanda Sandi restaurant to have a lunch based on the typical dishes of the Venetian countryside and well accompanied by the Villa Sandi wines.

At the conclusion of your lunch, re-board your motor coach and drive to Venice Marco Polo Airport for your flight back home.

Please note: This tour is available for disembarking guests with flights departing Venice-Marco Polo airport after 6 pm. This tour involves an extensive amount of walking and standing (approximately 1 hour / 700 metres). It is not recommended for guests with limited mobility as several steps need to be negotiated to reach the wine cellar and some ares can be unpaved. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests are advised to bring a bottle of water from the ship. In the event that Locanda Sandi can't host the group for lunch, another restaurant of same quality and level will be selected. The tour sequence may vary. Wine/alcohol can only be served to guests 18 years and over. Tour will get to the Airport at 4pm approximately.
