Excursion Amazon pink dolphins experience tour at Manaus

Leave by local speedboat up the Rio Negro to the Paricatuba dolphins floating platform where some years ago, two boys started to feed the dolphins and draw them closer and closer, now, there are about a dozen. Also known as the boto, these pink river dolphins live in freshwater and are found throughout the Amazon. The dolphins have become accustomed to locals and visitors and today it is possible see and take a bath with dolphins. They are free to come and go as they wish.
After this visit we will leave again in the speedboat passing through the channels of Jacaréubau until we arrive in the village of Paricatuba to see the ruins of an old hospital for Ransenians. After this last visit, continue by speedboat down the Rio Negro back to the port.

Note

Please note: A 90-minute boat cruise to/from Paricatuba Village, a minimal amount of easy walking and few steps to negotiate to get on/off the local boat. Light clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Guests wishing to swim with the dolphins are recommended to wear their bathing cloth under their cloth and bring a towel.
