Excursion Baja 4x4 jeep wrangler adventure tour at Cabo San Lucas

Explore Baja California's rugged desert aboard a Jeep Wrangler during this tour. Your destination is La Candelaria - a small oasis village in the middle of the desert.

After being assigned to your vehicle, set out across the desert caravan-style, following your local guide. Along the drive, your guide will introduce you to the local flora and fauna that is indigenous to the Baja region.

La Candelaria

There are several working ranches en route to La Candelaria, where herds of cows and goats roam the roads. Keep your camera ready as there are many photo opportunities along the way. Upon arrival, a refreshing snack and local drink is served at the boarding school, which is home to approximately 75 students during the school week. (A portion of your tour cost will be used to purchase supplies and materials for the school).

Continue your vist to the village with a stop at an artisan's studio, who specializing in ceramic pots and watercolor paintings. There are not always samples available for viewing, as the works are in high demand. Back in the convoy, continue your exploration down one of Baja's largest river washes until it reaches the Pacific Ocean.

Beach and Relaxation

At the beach, approximately 20 minutes of free time will be available to comb the beach for shells or just relax and watch the waves crashing on the shore. All too soon, it is time to re-board your vehicle and travel back to the Welcome Station along Baja's famed Highway 1. From here, you will transfer back to the port and your awaiting ship.

Please note: This tour is sold per vehicle and will accommodate up to 4 guests. When requesting this excursion, only one person in the party needs to request one ticket. This tour involves an extensive amount of strenuous driving over bumpy and uneven gravel and dirt roads. This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant women or guests with back problems, guests with limited mobility, guests who utilise a wheelchair, guests with heart problems, or guests with asthma, epilepsy or diabetes. Guests are advised to wear lightweight clothing, and sun protection. The beach visited is not a swimming beach. Jeeps are standard shift transmissions and are four-wheel-drive. Minimum age for drivers is 25 years and older, passengers must be at least 5 years or older as car seats are not available. Guests wishing to drive must present a valid driver's license and must also know how to drive a vehicle with automatic transmission if selecting the Jeep Wrangler. Total driving distance is approximately 45-55 miles. Total drive time is approximately two hours, with 1.5 hours being off-road. Route and destination contained in tour may vary depending on local weather and road conditions. Signature on liability waiver and rental contract is required before participation. This tour includes a small snack or tasting of local specialties. The snack is not a meal.
