Grand Turk, Catamaran-Ride, Columbus Passage, Guided Snorkelling, Coral Beds, Fish, Marine Life
Depart the pier for the short walk to your awaiting, Corinthian power catamaran. Upon arrival, embark your vessel for the short ride to the world-renowned, approximately 7,000-foot-deep (about 2,133-metre-deep) Columbus Passage, the third-largest and deepest barrier reef systems in the world. After receiving your safety and snorkelling instructions and gear, begin the first of two guided snorkelling sessions in approximately 20 feet (about six-metres) of inviting, crystal-clear waters. Your crew guides you through the reef, identifying the various tropical fish and coral formations. Upon reaching the wall, peer into the turquoise abyss whilst taking in the exquisitely-coloured marine life below you.
Oasis Reef, Coral Gardens, Tropical Fish, Marine Life, Nurse Shark
Following your first snorkelling session, embark your catamaran and depart the Columbus Passage for the short ride to your next stop, the shallow coral gardens at Oasis Reef. During a second snorkelling session, explore the abundant tropical fish and marine life here. Along the way, look for the resident nurse shark who may cruise by for a wonderful photo opportunity, so have your cameras ready. At the conclusion of your second snorkelling session, embark the boat, return your gear, and relax with a refreshing beverage during the short ride back to the pier. Upon arrival, disembark the boat and return to the ship on-foot.
