Start your tour by meeting your tour guide and transportation at the Cadiz cruise dock. From here, you will head out on a forty minute panoramic driving tour discovering the fortified city, its 16th century bastions and castles and their strategic defensive value. Enjoy views of Plaza Espana, the lush botanical gardens of the Parque Genoves, the Alameda de Apodaca, the Caleta beach, the Roman Amphitheater and the original 18th century gates to the city Puerta Tierra.


Old Town Walking/Rolling tour

Next, you will continue on a leisurely walking/rolling tour in the heart of the city, starting at Plaza de San Juan de Dios. This beautiful square with medieval origin has been the administrative and commercial center of Cadiz since the 16th century. It is the home to several breathtaking buildings including the City Hall and the Church of San Juan de Dios. Nearby, several small vendor stands are selling local artisan crafts and souvenirs.


Cathedral, Plaza de las flores, Market

Your tour continues to the charming Plaza de la Candelaria off the beaten path. Lined with orange trees, ironwork lamps and park benches and an ice cream parlor, this is a wonderful little hidden gem.

Continues to the popular Plaza de la Cathedral, where you will see the breathtaking Cadiz Cathedral. This spectacular yellow-domed cathedral is an impressively proportioned Baroque-Neoclassical construction was built between 1722 and 1838. Admire the beautiful clock tower and learn about the fascinating crypt inside. Following your visit here, your stroll continues to the colorful Plaza de Las Flores. This open-air flower market is peppered with open stalls selling beautiful flowers and plants.

Your tour continues to the bustling Mercado de Abastos, the central fresh fish and produce market, where you will see a variety of local products. Enjoy some free time to taste the best of local delicacies at one of the numerous food stands.

Your tour concludes with a short drive back to the cruise ship.
