Excursion Estancia day in casablanca valley tour at Valparaiso

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Savor the wines of the Casablanca Valley, a sub-region of the Aconcagua Valley, whose vineyards - first planted in the early 1980s - have earned worldwide recognition in a relatively short space of time. The warm, temperate climate of the area is greatly influenced by the coastal sea breezes, creating a perfect terroir. This valley is situated on the coastal plane, with distant hills and slopes rising no more than 400 meters above sea level that provide ideal conditions for certain varieties of grape.

Departing the pier in an air-conditioned coach, travel to the vineyards of Estancia El Cuadro. Be greeted by a wine expert who can reveal you the secrets, the varieties and the characteristics of wine production. Then of course there is the opportunity to try some of the estate's most prestigious wines. Tour the wine museum to learn what local rural life is like as well as local winemaking traditions and techniques.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at the estate, followed by a thrilling local show featuring Chilean rodeo and a folkloric dance performance.

Make the one-hour return drive to the pier.
