Excursion Expedition activities with silversea expedition team tour at Tristan da Cunha

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Tristan da Cunha is the most remote inhabited archipelago in the world, located in the South Atlantic Ocean. Known as the "Lost World," it features rugged volcanic landscapes, spectacular cliffs, and a unique ecosystem home to seabirds, seals, and other wildlife. The main island, Tristan, has a small community of residents and offers a rare opportunity to experience one of the most isolated and pristine environments on Earth.

Today we come ashore for a tricky landing in a small boat harbour onto concrete steps. This is a very weather dependant call and landing inside the small harbour is dependant on sea conditions. Once we are ashore, guests can make their way up the hill into the village to mett the local community and learn more about life on the most isolated Island in the world. There are some souvenirs for sale at the community centre and a couple of shops that serve coffee or tea. It is very easy to walk around with a local explaining how life here in Tristan da Cunha flows or join the Expedition Team for optional nature walks and hikes.
