Excursion Happy hour by tram pub tour at Helsinki
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
A short shuttle drive from the pier takes you to the tram stop where you board the iconic SpåraKOFF, a vibrant red trolley car originally built for public transportation in 1959. Thanks to a 1995 refurbishment, the vehicle now features a cozy pub atmosphere, complete with touches of mahogany and brass. This one-of-a-kind mobile pub, which hosts just 22 passengers, serves beer and hard cider as well as the traditional Finnish “lonkero” (a gin cocktail), while a saxophonist provides musical entertainment.
Sit back, relax, and sip a tasty local brew as your expert guide shares insights on this beloved seaside city. With over 450 years of creative heritage, Helsinki has produced some of the world's finest architects, and the legacy of their splendid work is seen everywhere.
All too soon it’s time to say “bottoms up!” to this fun adventure and return by shuttle to the pier.
