By foot, accompanied by your knowledgeable local guide, discover this quaint little port town of 3,500 souls, founded in 1857 by six fishing families from Magdalen Island. Originally known as Pointe-aux-Esquimaux, in 1927 the town was renamed Havre-Saint- Pierre in homage to Saint-Peter, the patron saint of fishermen.

Here local residents refer to themselves as Cayen and are very proud of their Acadian heritage.
