Lunenburg & Mahone Bay
Enjoy the many historic sites of Lunenburg which was founded in 1753 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995; Join your guide on an optional walking tour that will take you past some of Luneburg’s most historic properties and hear stories of the local ship building and fishing industries, that led to the creation of the Bluenose fishing and racing schooner, that is depicted on the Canadian dime. If you prefer, you can explore Lungenburg on your own instead. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Lunenburg.
Next, reboard your coach and drive to Mahone Bay, A town famous for its iconic three churches where you can peruse the many antique stores, local bakeries, or craft shops located in village.
Peggy's Cove
Continue your excursion with a drive to Peggy’s Cove, an active fishing village home to 40 locals, and the most photographed lighthouse in the Canada. Explore the local shops, rugged coastline and snap a picture of Peggy’s Point Lighthouse.
This tour will demonstrate the beautiful diversity of the South Shore and allows you free time to plot your journey at each location, whether you want to savour the salt air and atmosphere in one of the cafes, buy souvenirs, or just mosey along viewing the impressive sites and taking pictures, the choice is yours!

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing for 0.6 miles (1 kilometer), at times over uneven, cobblestone, gravel, rocky, and grassy surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Walking at Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay is at the discretion of each guest. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, an umbrella, and a sweater or light jacket from the ship.
