Allakuang and Batubatu Villages

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to Allakuang Village, renowned for its stone carvings and graves. After a photo stop here, re-board your coach and continue on to Batubatu Village for a visit to a traditional Saomario and Toraja-style house.

Traditional Home Visit

Upon arrival, you are welcomed by the owner with refreshments, local snacks and a cultural dance performance. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 219 yards (about 200 metres), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 15 steps at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least six years old to participate on this tour. The cost of providing a tour program in Pare Pare is proportionately more expensive than in neighbouring nations. Unfortunately this is reflected in the prices of the tours and we thank you for your understanding.
