Excursion Mount daisen nature hike tour at Sakaiminato
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Set out for the majestic Mt. Daisen, also known as Hoki-Daisen, the highest peak in the region at 1,729 meters. Admired for its graceful cone-shaped silhouette, the mountain is often called Hoki-Fuji, and on clear days its impressive form can even be seen directly from the ship.
After approximately one hour of travel, arrive at the trailhead within the Daisen-Oki National Park, an area celebrated for its pristine ecosystems and protected natural beauty. As you begin your hike, you will pass through a peaceful beech forest that stretches across elevations of 800 to 1,300 meters, creating a refreshing canopy of greenery. Enjoy the quiet paths, clean mountain air, and the soothing atmosphere of one of western Japan’s most beloved natural landscapes.
Following your walk among the trees and mountain scenery, return to ship side with a deeper appreciation for the serene beauty of Mt. Daisen.
